Derya Geylani Vuruşan

Derya Geylani Vuruşan (b.1990, İstanbul), graduated from Anadolu University, Fine Arts Faculty Glass Department in 2013. She continued her studies in E. Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Poland between 2011-2012.

She joined group exhibitions in Norway, Poland, Italy, Korea and Turkey. She was awarded at ‘A Design Awards’ in 2013 for her ‘Fear Chair’ design. Same year, she started her master’s degree at Mimar Sinan University, Fine Arts Faculty Ceramics and Glass department. In. 2014, she was a finalist in ‘European Glass Experience’ competition and exhibited her works in Spain, Portugal and Italy. In 2015 she completed her master’s degree and started her art doctorate degree in the same college.

Geylani, whose work is a part of the Fundacion Centro Nacional del Vidrio, La Granja collection, is a lecturer in Anadolu University, Fine Arts Faculty Glass Design Department since 2018 and Marmara University since 2020. She completed her thesis in 2019 and continues her studies in İstanbul.
