Seven young artist candidates step out of the studio space…
The Devabil Kara Studio is based on the idea that, alongside the senses, emotions and perception guided by intellect and intelligence are essential for creative activity. From this perspective, it aims to enrich the world of personal imagery by drawing not only from pure sensations but also from concepts. Rather than thinking solely through concepts, it encourages the transformation and expansion of conceptual meanings through processes such as abstraction, comparison, analysis, combination and generalization, thereby contributing to the formation of artistic practices. During the four-year educational process, the studio has focused on the concepts of “belonging–subjective identity,” “opening the interval,” “room,” and “indispensable void.” The works produced within this framework lead to the proposal of seven young artist candidates, bringing their works out of the studio space and presenting them to the art scene.
