Emphasizing that nature is the greatest source of creation for an artist, they believe that although perspectives may change over time, this fundamental idea remains constant.
In İbrahim Örs’ recent works, his critical-realist approach appears to have gradually evolved into a style aimed at revealing the meanings of objects and nature. With a language that is simple yet not simplistic, Örs adopts clarity and minimalism as the foundation of his practice.
Painting from a perspective grounded in transforming the energy humans receive from nature and the secrets buried within the earth into artistic creation, Bodil Örs reflects on the pleasure of rediscovering the traces of a century-old cultural heritage in the texture and color of rocks.
Centering on the individual’s discovery and reinterpretation of the self through nature, the exhibition of Bodil and İbrahim Örs will be on view at PG Art Gallery from April 20 to May 6.
