Günnur Özsoy’s new works will be on view in her solo exhibition opening at Pg Art Gallery on 2 April 2002.
Known for her bronze and aluminum works that evoke Futurist aesthetics, Özsoy has chosen polyester as her primary material for this exhibition. First introduced in 2001 in white and tonal variations, these forms have since evolved as the artist embraced the seductive power of color, incorporating striking hues into her practice.
For the sculptures presented at PG Art Gallery, Özsoy has selected a vivid, glossy red. Produced in various sizes, these smooth, fluid, and reflective forms can be suspended from the ceiling, installed on the floor, or displayed on pedestals. Each sculpture exists independently, yet when assembled in groups they allow for multiple spatial arrangements and installation possibilities.
Özsoy has also created concave works for the gallery walls, rendered in black and grey tones.
Günnur Özsoy’s solo exhibition will be on view at Pg Art Gallery from 2 April to 4 May 2002 and may be visited daily between 11:00 and 18:00, except Mondays.
