İbrahim Örs

İbrahim Örs

1 March - 31 March 2005

The works of our Denmark-based artist İbrahim Örs are on view at Pg Art Gallery from March 1 to March 31, 2005. In this latest exhibition by one of the leading representatives of the ’68 generation in Turkish painting, oil paintings shaped by concerns of rhythm, dynamism, and power meet the viewer.

The distinctive style and technique present in all of Örs’ paintings are created through repetitive brushstrokes that generate a strong sense of movement. Rather than focusing on the concrete realities of figures, nature, and objects, capturing details, or emphasizing expression through deformation and distortion, the artist turns toward interpretations that seek to reveal the meanings of these values and allow them to acquire new significance.

Consisting of recent works that bring renewed meaning to subjects such as still lifes, fragments of nature, figurative interpretations, portraits, horse heads, and master reinterpretations, İbrahim Örs’ solo exhibition can be visited throughout March at Pg Art Gallery in Bebek, every day except Mondays, between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm.
