İrfan Önürmen

İrfan Önürmen

7 May - 7 June 2003

İrfan Önürmen’s exhibition, featuring his recent works, opens on May 7 at Pg Art Gallery.

Making contemporary urban life his primary material, Önürmen incorporates ordinary images drawn from everyday life into his paintings. By collaging or homogenizing images of the individual—who becomes increasingly anonymous, alienated, and fragmented—the artist constructs his own confrontation between reality and illusion. Through this approach, he aims to prompt viewers to question what is real and what is fabricated.

Addressing themes such as identity crisis, cultural erosion, fragmentation, uniformity, and violence, Önürmen reflects the tensions and struggles of today’s urban individual onto his canvas.

İrfan Önürmen’s solo exhibition can be viewed at Pg Art Gallery from May 7 to June 7.
