Ayşe Wilson
Ayse Wilson (born 1970, Boston), graduated from the Wellesley College in 1991. After attending an academic education in Florence, she completed a masters degree in New York Academy Fine Arts department in 2003. In Turkey, she is represented by PG Art Gallery and in USA, she is represented by Geary Contemporary. She continues her studies and life in New York.
During the early stages of her career, Wilson worked at Jeff Koons’ studio, helping him with his big scale and photorealistic works. Wilson’s works reminds the audience the youth, innocence and the emotions they had when they were younger by appealing to their memories and feelings. Inspired by Fra Angelico, who is an early Italian Renaissance artist, Wilson she creates childish and vibrant figures. Her works has been exhibited in many international galleries.
