The first phase of a collaborative project between Pg Art Gallery and Tokyo-based Niche Gallery will take place at Pg Art Gallery from December 15 to January 9. The exhibition highlights not only the cultural differences shaped by distance and borders, but also the shared conditions embedded in everyday life.
Curated by Hiroko Kawase, the exhibition features six artists represented by Niche Gallery. Japanese artists Tomiya Nishimura, Nobue Mimura, Shigeru Idei, Tomoro Kawai, and Ulala Imai, along with Bulgarian artist Svetozar Benchev, incorporate elements of their own cultural backgrounds into their works while simultaneously transcending national boundaries to focus on the common values of humanity.
